Auditing Culture – A Hard Look at the Soft Stuff
2/9/2016
Dear Member,
The new issue of Global Perspectives and Insights, Auditing Culture — A Hard Look at the Soft Stuff, makes the case that consistent and continuous monitoring can improve and support corporate culture and that internal audit is uniquely positioned to carry out this vitally important assignment.
Key to effective auditing of organizational culture is for internal audit to have a “profound and deep understanding of the organization’s values and expected behaviors coupled with a thorough appreciation of how they influence the organization’s priorities in relation to good governance, risk management, and control,” according to the report.
